Like for example in case one, we measured the length of a pencil, and the numerical value of it is 15, but as we measured it with a centimeter ruler, the unit of the measurement of the pencil whould be 15cm long. If in case two we measured another pencil with an inch ruler, and it also measured 15, but in this case, it become 15 inches.
1 inch = 2.54 centimeter
15 inches = 38.1 centimeter long
Didn't you see the difference? the numerical value in case one and case two is the same, but the units makes them far from the same measurements.
Warning! we need to remember in every calculations, or answering questions related to measurements. Besides stating the correct numerical value, we also need to state the correct units for the numerical value, or our answers are going to be wrong and lose points.
